How to use Twin Folders

Twin Folders is intended to be used for data replication, or synchronization. Say you have two computers connected via network. You have your work files in a folder like My Documents (or Work or something like this) - on both computers. You need to make contents of the two folders equal on both computers. Then you make the work folder shared on one computer and run Twin Folders on the other.

Using Twin Folders is very easy - all work is done in 3 simple steps:

1. Select the first folder;
2. Select a second folder;
3. Click Synchronize button to make contents of the two folders equal.

If your computers are not connected via network, you can use another way to synchronize files on them. Use removable media - like CD-RW disk, USB flash drive, etc. First synchronize files between one computer and removable media (create a copy of your work folder on removable disk); Then take removable disk to another computer and synchronize files again - between removable disk and second computer.
You are licensed to run two copies of Twin Folders in this instance - one on the first computer and one on the second.

Another use of Twin Folders is data backup/restore. Keep a copy of your work folder on some backup device - like removable CD-RW disk or USB flash drive. Use Twin Folders to synchronize files between your computer and a backup device. If a data restore is required, you can do it by synchronizing the folders again - any files that were lost on your computer will be copied from the backup device automatically. You can use direction button to select direction for copying files: select direction to backup device for backup and from backup device to restore.
